RESUME, AVIS

Trois ingénieurs proches de la retraite fêtent Noël chez l'un d'entre eux, MICHAEL O'BRIEN. Les invités qu'ils attendaient se désistent à la dernière minute. Pour inviter des gens qu'ils ne connaissent pas, ils jettent leurs portes-monnaie dans la rue. Un jeune homme texan rapporte celui qu'il a trouvé puis une jeune infirmière en rapporte un autre. Tous deux sont invités à réveillonner avec eux. Ils deviennent rapidement amis et les deux jeunes gens s'entendent tellement bien qu'ils envisagent de se marier.
